Biography

Emily leads initiative-level data and knowledge management for the Moore Foundation’s Conservation and Markets Initiative. In this role, she integrates datasets into dashboards that distill key information to support adaptive management and resource allocation decisions.

Prior to joining the foundation, Emily spent over 12 years working at the intersection of corporations and conservation at the Wildlife Habitat Council (WHC), most recently as director of Conservation Certification and Technology. She led the development and implementation of WHC’s signature certification standard, Conservation Certification, as well as the development of several technology systems. As a member of the senior leadership team, she contributed to organizational strategy, implemented cost-saving efficiencies — including the creation of a public-facing knowledge base — and helped make diversity, equity, and inclusion an explicit forward-facing part of the hiring process.

Emily received a Master of Science in Zoo Conservation Biology at the University of Plymouth in the U.K., and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science from Skidmore College.
